January 2026 Project

This year the team were able to complete an incredible amount of work given there were only nine core members from Australia: Chris, Roslyn, Jacqui, Margaret, Laurie, Peter, Caitlyn, Sophie and Paul.
This was achieved with the assistance of many of our friends on the ground in Cambodia: Veasna, Dyna, Bunthann and Kosal along with many of the students that ACC are supporting.
Spotlight on the Mondulkiri Mother/Baby Project: Memang Health Centre Collaboration with Balwyn Rotary Club
In July 2025, Jacqui and Ros from ACC visited Memang Health Centre in Mondulkiri with Et Kosal, one of our major collaborators in Cambodia.
Memang is a remote village approximately 40km along a dirt road from the Mondulkiri capital, Sen Monorom. Many of the patients who visit the Health Centre are from the Indigenous Bunong tribe who live in small villages up to 20km from Memang. They are often poor and have to walk long distances to the centre to give birth. As subsistent farmers, many of the families do not have adequate resources to care for the baby at home.
Since July, ACC in collaboration with Balwyn Rotary Club, have been providing Mother and Baby Packs for the families who come into the Health Centre to deliver their babies. Each pack consists of a baby mattress with a mosquito net, baby clothes including baby suits, blankets, nappies, mittens, hats and gloves. The pack also includes two sarongs for mum. We are also working on obtaining reusable maternity pads and baby nappies.
Many thanks to Balwyn Rotary Club for their generous grant which will supply Mother and Baby Packs for the next 12 months.
Also thanks to Dyna for purchasing the baby supplies and liaising with Memang Health Centre so that the baby supplies are delivered safely to the centre,

Donate
Make a difference by donating money so that ACC can continue supporting Cambodians in need.

Volunteer
By volunteering for a non-profit, you can give back, develop skills, and gain experience. Our team of 15-20 volunteers visits Siem Reap and Phnom Penh every January to undertake various projects. You can also contribute by helping at our fundraising activities such as our annual dinner at Narai Thai or one of our many fundraising barbecues.

Sponsor a Student
As an organisation we want to help ensure young people are educated by pursuing a university or tertiary course of vocational training.
University sponsorship is a great way to help give a person from a poor community the chance of a better future.
